Lonely Planet’s Best Countries for 2012

Where in the world should you go in 2012? Lonely Planet recently announced its picks for the best countries to visit this year. The well-known guidebook publisher chose the top ten countries based on value, excitement, and a special X factor. For example, Taiwan made the list because of its delicious cuisine and large network of bike paths. Now, it’s time to pack your bags and hit the road to discover 2012’s top vacation spots!
Uganda

Topping this year’s list is Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. This East African nation hasn’t seen that many tourists in recent years due to political problems. Now that stability has returned to the country, though, visitors are also returning to find that the Pearl is more amazing than ever.
Many are traveling to Uganda for the stunning nature. Uganda’s natural beauty includes jungles, savannas, and the highest mountain range in Africa. Others are traveling to Uganda for the wildlife, and lucky visitors may even see the rare but magnificent mountain gorilla. Finally, some travelers are heading to Uganda for the history. This year marks the fiftieth anniversary of Uganda’s independence, and celebrations in the capital city Kampala are likely to occur all year.

寂寞星球嚴選  2012最佳旅遊國

烏干達

許多人到烏干達旅遊是為了極美的自然景觀。烏干達的自然美景包括叢林、莽原和非洲境內最高的山區。有些人到烏干達旅行則是為了野生生態，而幸運的遊客甚至可能看到稀有但壯觀的山地大猩猩。最後，有些旅人前往烏干達是為了其歷史性。今年是烏干達獨立五十週年紀念，首都坎帕拉很可能整年都有舉辦慶祝活動。
