Travel English: Taking a Food Tour

旅遊英語：預約一趟義大利美食之旅

Part A

A travel agent is helping Robert and Kelly plan their trip.

旅行社專員在幫羅伯特和凱莉規劃他們的行程。

(travel agent = T.A. )

T.A.:        Welcome to Dream Travel. What can I do for you?

Kelly:      We want to book a trip to Italy. We’re thinking of going in the summer.

T.A.:        What kind of trip do you want to take?

Robert:    We would like to take a group tour.

T.A.:        We have plenty of excellent group tours. They go to every part of Italy. You can see all of Italy’s famous places.

Robert:    That sounds nice, but we’re not really interested in those things.

T.A.:        What do you want to do?

Kelly:      We want to sample every type of Italian food!

旅專：歡迎光臨夢想旅遊，有什麼可以為你們效勞的嗎？

凱莉：我們想預定去義大利的行程，我們在考慮要夏天去。

旅專：你們想參加哪一種行程？

羅伯特：我們想參加團體旅遊。

旅專：我們有許多優質的團體旅遊行程，會去到義大利的各個地方，你們就可以一睹義大利知名景點的風采。

羅伯特：那聽起來不錯，不過我們對那些不太感興趣。

旅專：你們想做些什麼呢？

凱莉：我們想品嚐各種義大利美食！

Part B

The travel agent is telling Robert and Kelly about the tour.

旅行社專員正在告訴羅伯特和凱莉關於行程的資訊。

T.A.:        Your airline is Europe Air. This tour lasts 15 days. The first stop is Rome.

Kelly:      We’ll have a ball in Rome. It will be the best part of our vacation.

T.A.:        First, you’ll go to an area called Colosseo. It has lots of ancient buildings.

Robert:    We’ll leave the tour for an hour and look around for a good restaurant.

Kelly:      Yeah. We’ll have to find a good spaghetti restaurant. Then we need an Italian ice cream shop for dessert.

T.A.:        Don’t you want to see the Colosseum?

Robert:    We’ll go there after we finish our ice cream.

旅專：你們會搭乘歐洲航空，這趟旅程共十五天，第一站是羅馬。

凱莉：我們在羅馬會玩得很愉快，這會是我們假期中最棒的部分。

旅專：首先，你們會去一個叫做科羅西歐的地區，那裡有許多古老的建築。

羅伯特：我們會脫隊一小時，四處找找有沒有好餐廳。

凱莉：沒錯，我們得找到一間好吃的義大利麵餐廳，接著還要在一間義大利冰淇淋店吃甜點。

旅專：你們不想看羅馬競技場嗎？

羅伯特：等吃完冰淇淋再去。
